Faith in Action Experience

Faith In Action

What would convince you and the other leaders of your church to cancel your regular services for the purpose of engaging your entire congregation in community service? Hundreds of churches of all sizes and denominations nationwide have already participated in a “Faith in Action” Sunday. Hear from the leadership of these churches about how “Faith in Action” not only impacted their community, but also transformed their congregation as they realized they could make a personal difference in others' lives by meeting the needs of their community.

“Faith in Action” is flexibly designed to fit the needs and calendar of your church. Join us for the Faith in Action experience — an extended workshop session (with lunch) to learn how your church can make a difference. Talk to participants about their experience; witness a variety of “Faith in Action” community projects on film; explore the displays of outreach concepts adaptable for your location and your church; obtain a sample kit and CD; and ask the questions critical to the leadership of your church.

Who’s Your Daddy Now?: Pre-Conversion Discipleship for a Fatherless Generation
Doug Stringer
Founder/Director
Turning Point Ministries International

As the founder of the international community transformation movement Somebody Cares, Doug Stringer continues to see the dire need in today’s culture for spiritual fathers and mothers. To that end, he’s calling the Church to practice true unity by crossing racial, generational and denominational lines. Sharing his own experience of becoming a spiritual father as a young believer ministering on the streets of Houston, Doug will profile Somebody Cares chapters from Houston to New England to Terrasopolis, Brazil, that are using “pre-conversion discipleship” to become spiritual parents to today’s fatherless nations and generations.
