Pastor Julian Toriz grew up in the housing projects of East Los Angeles and was involved with gangs and drugs along with my older brothers. He gave his life to Christ at 15 in 1980 and was immediately discipled and trained in bus/children’s ministry for the next 4 years. At 19 he went into full time ministry with Teen Challenge of So Cal, and have held various positions from Children’s Pastor, Associate Pastor, Dean of Students and Assistant Director at Teen Challenge Ministry Institute.
Julian is married to Graciela and has three children: Jet, Alegra and Trinity. They live in the city of Los Angeles. Pastor jay has been the subject of articles in Charisma magazine, Billy Graham’s Decision magazine and has been seen on the nationally televised program of the Los Angeles Dream Center.
Once declared incorrigible by the courts, he’s now a man of integrity and purpose, a man making a difference in the lives of others. Read more at metrokidz.org
