Jan Malcolm is a catalyst for community outreach at St John’s Episcopal Church in Barrington, RI. Jan is passionate about leading others, by example, to serve those in need. In 2001-2002, Jan led numerous youth and adult groups to serve at St Paul’s Chapel at Ground Zero. Inspired during a 2004 LTN equipping conference in Fresno, CA; Jan conceived and produced the documentary: “Agents of Grace- Day of Service”,
an Onanon Productions film; the compelling story of how three communities inspired one another to dream of reconciliation and healing through a day of service.
She is a Co-founder of Beyond Our Walls; an interfaith group that works to be a catalyst for change and reconciliation in the local community and beyond. Jan is a national presenter for Group Publishing, training equipping principles and outreach through Church Volunteer Central. She has also mentored and supported a student from Burkina Faso (West Africa) and is currently mentoring a Guatemalan family of six from the South Bronx; having relocated them to Rhode Island, securing education, employment and housing while becoming part of the family to ensure their long term success. Jan is a frequent lay preacher in her church; inspiring others to use the gifts that God gave them, believing “together, you and I can change the world!”
